As a utilitarian need for residence of the Apostolic Nunciature (heritage monument: „Villa Sunarić“) it proved that is necessary to install a canopy over the main entrance for protection of atmospheric effects, precipitation and wind. In accordance with the form dictated by the existing composite elements of the whole building, a transparent canopy in glass and galvanized steel was designed.
Simple and the elegant structure is achieved by leaning the curved safety glass to the highest point above the arched cornice of the front door. Vertically at the end points of the curved glass flat glass walls were lowered. Everything is supported by two breathable steel girders, fastened with wedges to the facade of the building and a platform in front of the front door. The project solution meets the high demands of functionality, practicality and purpose for which it is predetermined.
