PASSION
I believe in a team work. Approaching closely and personally to my clients is very
important to me. I also believe in being involved from the creative inception to the
practical, “Here’s how we do it.” I have a comprehensive understanding of
construction practices. I prefer to be deeply involved in the construction of my
designs, working closely with builders to ensure the complete realization of
architectural vision.
Design Phase – Discussing your needs, creating initial designs, and developing cost
estimates and budgets.
Technical Phase – Preparing construction documents, written specifications, and
product selections.
Pricing and Pre-Construction Coordination Phase – Working with the construction
team, we assemble a cost of construction, resolve questions, and acquire the
building permits.
Construction Phase – Pre-construction meetings, mobilization, and construction
progress meetings – all the way to completion.
I meet “virtually” with clients and contractors anywhere. More than just a
convenience to my local clients, this metod of contacting is vital in meeting the
unique challenges in overseeing design and construction, when buildings are located
far from a client’s primary residence.
In addition, I sculpt a building or a space and walk a client through it in a “Virtual
Reality” environment. This is farlly appreciated from klients because of the ability to
visualize a proposed design.
SUSTAINABILITY
I always advise clients to think green, because there are so many advantages to this
type of constructing. Green construction make spaces more comfortable, healthy
and efficient.
I believe in sustainable design, preserving and respecting the natural environment
resources of the site. The solar orientation of a building, combined with strategically
placed architectural components for shading, will make for an efficient architecture.
Reduction of energy consumption is largely important: assessment of energyefficient
appliances, lighting, insulated hot water pipes, programmable thermostats,
and heating and air-conditioning.
Clients wants healthy indoor air quality, better
ventilation systems, and nontoxic materials.
I also strive to reduce material waste and conserve resources. Using local materials.
HISTORIC PRESERVATION
I have worked on the preservation historic properties – in many cases remodeling
and/or enlarging them with sensitivity to their particular period and style of
construction.
I have also provided expert testimony before historic preservation commissions,
architectural and zoning review boards and served on technical reception of objects
for legalizing buildings.
